Anushka Sharma
Let’s start with a recent wedding gown and one of Bollywood’s most popular couples, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. Anushka’s wedding gown is one of my favourite Bollywood bridal lehengas of all time. Sabyasachi created the design. The petal pink gown was adorned with lotus designs and was worn with matching jewellery and a net dupatta. Ideal for a daytime wedding.
Sonam Kapoor
Sonam Kapoor is an actress who can pull off any look, so it goes without saying that she looked stunning in her wedding lehenga.
Her bridal lehenga was pinkish red with a gold embroidered border and lotus designs. She accessorised with pearl and gold jewellery and just the right amount of rosy makeup.
Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri Dixit Nene’s 1999 gold ensemble Straight up appears to be vintage now. She was dressed in a gold silk lehenga with a red satin dupatta. She accessorised her bridal gown with diamonds, headpieces, and bead jewellery.
I’m digging her 90s lipstick colour of burned copper, which screams Madhuri Dixit and is currently back in style! Read more about the 90s lipstick trend here: 90s Lipstick Trend.
Basu, Bipasha
Bipasha Basu married in 2016, which makes me question why she didn’t marry John Abraham. In any case, her clothing was out of the ordinary for a Bengali woman. She opted for a crimson lehenga instead of a saree. The lovely gown featured a richly embroidered border and gold botanical patterns. She accessorised with two net dupattas and an embroidered crimson choli, as well as a huge neckpiece. – This is tough stuff. It exhausts me simply gazing at it.
Priyanka Chopra’s
In contrast, Priyanka Chopra’s 2018 attire appears to be significantly lighter. The new trend in Bollywood star wedding dresses appears to be “less is more.” Everyone was talking about her several dresses at her recent high-profile wedding to Nick Jonas. Sabyasachi red lehenga choli was worn by Priyanka. The lehenga, which was embellished with crystals and rose motifs, was worn with a matching choli and a red net dupatta with an embroidered border. It’s quite delicate.
She wore it with a multi-layered kundan necklace.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas also married in a Catholic ceremony. The actress wore a full-sleeved lace white gown with a sheer top panel and a long trail that four people could walk in. I had to hold for her.
Priyanka Chopra wore an ivory lehenga by Falguni Shane Peacock to the reception. According to the designers, the costume took 12,000 hours to create and was embellished with a million crystals by 80 craftsmen.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Internationally famous beauty Aishwarya Rai married Abhishek Bachchan, a Bollywood heartthrob, in 2007. Despite the actors’ celebrity, their wedding was rather low-key, with no wedding photos or pictures of expensive gala gowns appearing in the media.
The actress looked stunning in a golden yellow silk saree with kundan jewellery and headpieces. And that’s about all we know. Shilpa Shetty’s
In 2009, Shilpa Shetty (Kundra) married. She was dressed in a lovely embroidered crimson saree with a lot of kundan jewellery and a belt.
Padukone, Deepika
Deepika Padukone married her beau Ranveer Singh in 2018, in another high-profile Bollywood wedding. They had two wedding ceremonies, thus we saw a variety of Bollywood star wedding gowns. Here’s a photo from the wedding ceremony, where she was dressed in a red silk saree stitched with gold threads. She accessorised with classic gold jewellery, smokey eye makeup, and a bare lip.
Deepika wore a crimson saree with a gold border to their Punjabi wedding ceremony, along with a big choker and massive hoop jhumkas.
The actress donned a crimson lehenga created by her husband to the celebration. Sabyasachi dress with pink and red rose designs all throughout. Deepika wore a nude pink lip and smokey eye makeup with a net pink dupatta and roses in her crown-braided hairstyle. Check out all of her wedding looks in our own battle of the Bollywood wedding gowns: Deepika Ranveer vs. Anushka Virat in Indian Bridal Fashion Battle.
The pair donned matching ivory gowns with gold accents to their Mumbai reception. Deepika was dressed in a saree (or is it a lehenga? Who knows, given that they’re both wrapped in the same way currently)! with a choker necklace of pearls and gold and huge round earrings
Rani Mukerjee’s
Is this her real wedding gown or a movie scene? Who knows at this point? It appears Rani appears to play a bride in practically all of her films. By the way, the best clothes may be found here: The Most Iconic Indian Bollywood Bridal Dresses Ever | Indian Bride Types
Mrs. Amrita Singh
Amrita Singh married Saif Ali Khan in 1991. We don’t know about the dress (I wasn’t even 10 at the time), but rumour has it that Kareena Kapoor was there, and she attended the wedding, where her now-husband, Saif Ali Khan, may or may not have referred to her as “beta.” Just to clarify, we are not a gossip publication.
Here’s a better shot of me looking sharp as uzhe with a big-ass nose-ring. We can’t dispute that Saif Ali’s younger days were adorable.
