Tips for Celebrating Holi: The festival of colors in 2020

Holi is the most awaited festival, especially for kids as they get a chance to play with colors, water-filled balloons, delicious foods, and party all around. Also, there is a saying that people tend to forget all the differences they once had and meet and greet each other with love and good wishes.

Nobody is allowed to throw tantrums during Holi and they have to be drenched in the colors of love, friendship, and fun. However, with the excitement rushing in our veins, we need to be very careful while playing Holi to avoid any uninvited circumstance.

Amongst the celebrations, it is important to keep a check so as to make sure that the festival doesn’t turn out to be a bad day.

Let’s go through some of the tips for celebrating joyous and a prosperous Holi:

  • Use organic colors and not artificial ones to avoid any skin reaction.

  • Do not forcefully apply colors or Gulal over someone, respect their choice.

  • Make sure that you don’t throw colors in someone’s eyes, mouth or nose, it could be fatal.

  • Be careful while playing with water-filled balloons, do not hurt somebody.

  • Always wash your hands properly before consuming any food product, just after you have played Holi.

  • It’s a good practice to apply oil on your hairs and body so that the colors can be removed easily.
  • In case you are consuming Bhang or Lassi during the Holi party, make sure you are with trustworthy people.

  • Don’t wear slippery shoes or sandals, and wear your old clothes as you have to throw them anyway.
