Beauty Queens Who Achieved Great Success in Bollywood

Beauty queens have always been welcomed in Bollywood. We’ve seen several extremely successful actors emerge from beauty pageants over the last few decades. Let’s take a look at some of the Bollywood beauty queens that left their mark.

 Namrata Shirodkar

Namrata Shirodkar was crowned Miss India in 1993. She went on to represent India in the Miss Universe pageant in 1993. (42nd Edition). She finished sixth after losing to Dayanara Torres of Puerto Rico. Juhi represented India once more at the Miss Asia Pacific 1993 pageant (24th Edition). Brandy Kuentze of the Philippines defeated her. She finished second in the competition. Juhi is one of the very few Indian beauty queens who has been placed in two major international competitions. Her Bollywood career began with “Purab Ki.”

Laila Pachhim Ki Chhaila,” yet the film was never released. Sushmita Sen

Sushmita Sen defeated popular Aishwarya Rai to win the Miss India 1994 title. She represented India in the Miss Universe pageant in 1994. (41st Edition). In addition, she created history by being the first Indian to be crowned Miss Universe. She made her Bollywood debut in 1996 with the film ‘Dastak.’ She went on to appear in films such as Zor, Sirf Tum, Biwi No.1, and Bas. Aman Zeenat

Zeenat Aman finished second in the Miss India 1970 pageant and went on to win Miss Asia Pacific in 1970, defeating 14 other delegates in the event’s third edition. She was the first woman from South Asia to win the championship. She got a Filmfare award after receiving three nominations. She also received a BFJA. Juhi Chawla

Juhi was crowned Miss India 1984 and represented India in the Miss Universe 1984 pageant (33rd Edition). Aishwarya Rai finished second in the Miss India 1994 pageant and went on to represent India at the Miss World 1994 pageant (44th Edition). She defeated 86 other delegates to win the title. She made her Bollywood debut in 1997 with the film ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya.’ She has since appeared in a number of films, including Jeans,

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Taal, Mohabbatein, Bride & Prejudice, Dhoom 2 Guru, Provoked, Jodhaa Akbar, and Guzaarish. She has received 112 accolades from 127 nominations, including three Filmfare awards,

seven IIFA awards, seven Screen awards, six Zee Cine awards, and two Stardust awards. She has appeared on numerous lists of the world’s most beautiful people.
