Beauty queens have always been welcomed in Bollywood. We’ve seen several extremely successful actors emerge from beauty pageants over the last few decades. Let’s take a look at some of the Bollywood beauty queens that left their mark.
Namrata Shirodkar
Namrata Shirodkar was crowned Miss India in 1993. She went on to represent India in the Miss Universe pageant in 1993. (42nd Edition). She finished sixth after losing to Dayanara Torres of Puerto Rico. Juhi represented India once more at the Miss Asia Pacific 1993 pageant (24th Edition). Brandy Kuentze of the Philippines defeated her. She finished second in the competition. Juhi is one of the very few Indian beauty queens who has been placed in two major international competitions. Her Bollywood career began with “Purab Ki.”
Laila Pachhim Ki Chhaila,” yet the film was never released. She went on to star in the 1998 film ‘Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai.’ Hero Hindustani, Vaastav: The Reality, Pukar, Hathyar: Face to Face with Reality, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, LOC Kargil, Bride and Prejudice, and others are among her major works. Sushmita Sen
Sushmita Sen defeated popular Aishwarya Rai to win the Miss India 1994 title. She represented India in the Miss Universe pageant in 1994. (41st Edition). In addition, she created history by being the first Indian to be crowned Miss Universe. She made her Bollywood debut in 1996 with the film ‘Dastak.’ She went on to appear in films such as Zor, Sirf Tum, Biwi No.1, and Bas. Itna Sa Khwaab Hai, Aankhen, Filhaal, Samay: When Time Strikes, Vaastu Shastra, Main Hoon Na, Paisa Vasool, Chingaari, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, Vaastu Shastra, Main Hoon Na, Paisa Vasool, Chingaari, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?
Bewafaa, Zindaggi Rocks, Dulha Mil Gaya, Karma Aur Holi, and other popular songs. She won a Filfare award after receiving three nominations. She also received the Rajiv Gandhi Award for her contributions to Bollywood, as well as the Star Screen Award, the IIFA Award, and two Zee Cine Awards.
Aman Zeenat
Zeenat Aman finished second in the Miss India 1970 pageant and went on to win Miss Asia Pacific in 1970, defeating 14 other delegates in the event’s third edition. She was the first woman from South Asia to win the championship. She got a Filmfare award after receiving three nominations. She also received a BFJA. In 1970, she made her acting debut with Hulchul. Hungama and Hare Rama are two of her most well-known works. Juhi Chawla
Juhi was crowned Miss India 1984 and represented India in the Miss Universe 1984 pageant (33rd Edition). Despite the fact that she was unable to be among those who were placed and ultimately lost Sweden’s Yvonne Ryding took the prize, together with Uruguay’s Yissa Pronzatti and Hong Kong’s Mina Godenzi, for Best National Costume. Chawla has been one of the most endearing actresses of all time since then.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya Rai finished second in the Miss India 1994 pageant and went on to represent India at the Miss World 1994 pageant (44th Edition). She defeated 86 other delegates to win the title. She made her Bollywood debut in 1997 with the film ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya.’ She has since appeared in a number of films, including Jeans,
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Taal, Mohabbatein, Bride & Prejudice, Dhoom 2 Guru, Provoked, Jodhaa Akbar, and Guzaarish. She has received 112 accolades from 127 nominations, including three Filmfare awards,
seven IIFA awards, seven Screen awards, six Zee Cine awards, and two Stardust awards. She has appeared on numerous lists of the world’s most beautiful people.
