Ready to pack up your woolens and set up the summer wardrobe? Not really? Many of us are on the same platform! Firstly, don’t worry and take a deep breath. We have prepared a thorough selection of what should you do to make this season change process much easier than before. All the tips are tried and tested. Make sure you don’t just follow them but share with friends and family members as well!
• Decide the appropriate time
Don’t simply wake up and begin the transition. Plan and do a little bit of thinking in advance. This will prevent any trashy environment or loss of stuff. Choose a time when you are free. Free, not in the literal sense, but with an unoccupied mind as well. A good trick is to schedule on a Sunday or other holiday. After you have decided when to do, come to the how and where. They are equally important and crucial for an overall easy packing experience.
• Pack up in order of necessity
If you have kids at home, don’t pack their woolens too soon. Wait till the summer season kicks in completely. Also, keep their head-to-toe sets in one place so that you can easily find them next year. Use clear bags for small items and label them if needed. Do not just stuff the clothes in a trunk or suitcase. Enjoy the process and do your work diligently.
Keep socks in pairs and follow the same for gloves as well. These two items tend to get lost the most. Fold jackets on the non-furry sides and don’t forget the naphthalene balls. For overcoats, we recommend the original covers. If you don’t have them anymore, go for hangers but don’t fold them as creases are too stubborn.
• Keep a track of where you keep what
Do you routinely forget about where you kept your stuff? No more forgetting and no more frustration. Click pictures when you are setting up your wardrobes and keep forgetful mistakes at bay. If you don’t like to waste time, you can paste placards or tags on respective shelves.
• Replace with summer wear the next day
Once you are done with all the above three steps, go with the ultimate motive. Have rest for some time between these two processes. You need to prevent burnout too. Try to do so on separate days. If not feasible, keep a gap of at least a few hours.
This will help you plan for the forthcoming steps and have some rest at the same time.
